This Chapter concerns the conservation of marine turtles, freshwater turtles, and tortoises and their habitats in foreign countries and territories of the United States, by supporting and providing financial resources for projects aimed at: improving protection and conservation measures and addressing habitat loss, poaching of turtles or their eggs, and wildlife trafficking. The Chapter includes the following matters: definition of relevant terms; conservation assistance and project proposals; establishment of marine turtle conservation fund; advisory group, consisting of individuals representing public and private organisations actively involved in the conservation of turtles.
