Under Part II the Act promotes farm improvement investments; in particular the Minister may make grants for amalgamations and boundary adjustments; for individuals relinquishing occupation of uncommercial units. Part III contains special measures for certain areas and provides for the establishment of the Rural Development Board; these measures include control of sale, control of afforestation. Additional provisions include sick pay for agricultural workers.
