This Regional Regulatory Decree approves the structure of the Regional Directorate for Agriculture and Rural Development (DRA). DRA is integrated into the Regional Secretariat for Agriculture, Fisheries and the Environment, referred to in article 5(1)(b) of Regional Regulatory Decree No. 16/2024/M of 23 August 23. DRA aims to the following matters: propose and implement policy measures for the agricultural and agri-food areas of the Autonomous Region of Madeira as economic sectors; promote family farming; to promote the competitiveness and qualification of production and activities, knowledge and innovation; boost the circular economy; promote food safety; stimulate the sustainable development of the environment and the rural population, in conjunction with the integrated development of the Region.
