This Recommendation makes amendments in the Recommendation GFCM/43/2019/3 by (i) amending Paragraph 1 (a) of the Recommendation GFCM/43/2019/3 as regards the allocation of annual total allowable catch (TAC) of 890 tonnes to the contracting parties and cooperating non-contracting parties (CPCs) for the years 2025–2028; (ii) inserting Paragraph 1 bis regarding minimum conservation reference size of 45 cm for turbot; (iii) deleting Paragraph 2 (b); (iv) amending Paragraph 4 as regards the scientific advice of the Working Group on the Black Sea in 2028 for setting or revising the biological reference points and for the revision of TAC and quotas; (v) inserting Paragraph 5 bis regarding the establishment of a working group to review and consolidate the technical measures for the performance of turbot fishing operations. This Recommendation makes amendments in the Recommendation GFCM/41/2017/4 and inserts Paragraph 40 bis regarding the obligation of each flag CPC to record all data relating to catches and fishing effort and submit to the GFCM Secretariat before 31 January of each year.
