This Resolution inserts Paragraphs 8, 9 and 10 Part II on transitional measures of the Resolution GFCM/46/2023/2. Paragraph 8 requires the contracting parties and cooperating non-contracting parties to ensure the collection and sharing of all required information to establish a complete fisheries restricted area. Paragraphs 9 and 10 lays down the duties of the Scientific Advisory Committee on Fisheries to make relevant recommendations on management measures and to evaluate the impacts of all types of fishing gear on the fishing mortality in the Cabliers coral mound area in the Alboran Sea in order to decide the list of fishing gear authorized and/or prohibited within the closed area and/or any other management measure deemed necessary.
