This Scheme amends the Environment Relief Fund Scheme, 2008 (principal Scheme). In paragraph 3 of the principal Scheme, after sub-paragraph (1), a new sub-paragraph (1A) is added, and clause (ii) of sub-paragraph (4) is substituted. In paragraph 5, sub-paragraphs (1), (4) and (7) are amended, and new sub-paragraphs (10) and (11) are added. Paragraph 6 of the principal Scheme, relating to investment of the amount received in the Relief Fund, is substituted. A new paragraph 7A is added to the principal Scheme which provides for allocation of funds for restoration of environmental damage.
