The measure provides that the fishery for Euphausia superba in Statistical Division 58.4.1 is restricted to approved fishing methods (Conservation Measure 21-03, Annex A) and limited to a total annual catch of 440,000 tonnes, subdivided into 277,000 tonnes west of 115°E and 163,000 tonnes east of 115°E. The season runs from 1 December to 30 November, and operations must comply with seabird bycatch mitigation (CM 25-03) and mandatory marine mammal exclusion devices to reduce incidental capture of whales and seals. Data reporting requirements (CM 23-06) and environmental protection provisions (CM 26-01) apply, and the Commission will review the measure based on Scientific Committee advice.
