This Law creates the Poverty Overcoming Programme in the State of São Paulo, with the purpose of breaking the intra- and intergenerational cycle of poverty and promoting autonomy and improving the living conditions of families in vulnerable situations. The purposes of this Programme will be made possible by connecting families to state and municipal projects and initiatives in social assistance, food security, income generation, the solidarity economy, education, housing, health, and labor market integration, including through encouraging entrepreneurship. This may include the granting of financial benefits and access to goods and services, under terms to be defined by regulation.
