The First Nations Voice Regulations 2023 establish the operational framework for implementing the First Nations Voice Act 2023 in South Australia. These regulations define key elements such as regional boundaries, the composition of representative bodies, and transitional arrangements. The regulations specify six regions—Central, Far North, Flinders and Upper North, Riverland and South East, West and West Coast, and Yorke and Mid-North—based on a plan lodged in the General Registry Office. Each region will have a Local First Nations Voice, with the Central region having 11 members and the others 7. A list of prescribed native title bodies is included, identifying 25 Aboriginal corporations incorporated under federal legislation that are recognized for the purposes of the Act.
