This Act amends the Chhattisgarh Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 (No. 17 of 1961). Clause (jj) of section 2 of the Act, which defines State Election Commission, is substituted. The proviso to sub-section (8) of section 49 is substituted. Sub-sections (1), (2), (7) and (9) of section 50-B, pertaining to the elections of co-operatives societies to be conducted by the State Election Commission are substituted.
