This Act amends the Chhattisgarh Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 (No. 17 of 1961). Clause (t-i) of section 2 is substituted. After section 9 of the Act, a new section 9-A is added. A new section 49-F is added after section 49-E, relating to removal of Board of Society by General Body. Sub-section (1) of section 53 is substituted. A new chapter V-B is added after chapter V-A relating to Insured Co-operative Bank. Section 58 and 59 of the Act are amended.
