The Philippine Poultry Broiler Industry Roadmap (2022–2040), serves to strengthen the broiler industry’s contribution to agricultural GDP, food and nutrition security, and rural livelihoods. Guided by principles that recognize the sector’s economic importance, the need for an enabling and sustainable business environment, and responsiveness to evolving production systems, health challenges, marketing dynamics, and consumer preferences, the roadmap presents a detailed industry, value chain, and SWOT analysis covering inputs, production, processing, trade, and market performance, while identifying constraints such as high input costs, disease risks, infrastructure gaps, and import dependence. Its vision is for the Philippines to become a leading and competitive poultry industry player in Association of Southeast Asian Nationsthe (ASEAN), supported by a dual mission: first, to strengthen the local broiler sector’s sustainability, efficiency, infrastructure, regulatory compliance, and technical performance; and second, to anticipate and adapt to emerging trends in production, marketing, and consumer demand. The overarching goal is to enhance and sustain the broiler business by establishing an enabling production and trade environment, implemented through strategic components in technical development, research, advocacy, coordination, capacity building, infrastructure support, governance mechanisms, and measurable performance targets to ensure long-term competitiveness and growth through 2040.
