As provided for in Article 116(1) of Regulation (EU) 2017/625, Annex to this Implementing Decision sets out the annual programme of controls for 2026 to be carried out by Commission experts in the Member States. The focus areas of the annual programme of controls for 2026 are food and food safety, feed and feed safety, animal health, animal welfare, plant health, plant protection products and sustainable use of pesticides, food quality, organic farming, official controls on animals and goods, genetically modified organisms, and emergency situations, emerging problems and new developments within the agri-food chain.
