The Annex I to this Regulation establishes sampling methods for the control of plant toxin levels in food. Where a food cannot be classified under any category for which a sampling method is specified in Annex I, the sampling method shall be determined with regard to the particle size of the food or its similarity to a product classified in Annex I. Where a food cannot be classified in any category listed in Annex I and there is evidence that the plant toxin is homogeneously distributed, sampling shall be carried out in accordance with Part B of the Annex to Commission Regulation (EC) No 333/2007. Sample preparation and methods of analysis used for the control of the levels of plant toxins in foodstuffs shall be in compliance with the criteria set out in Annex II.
