This Amendment, consisting of 2 articles, modifies the original text in section regulation 7(2) by reducing and revising the administrative penalties for certain offences committed by petroleum retailers in urban and rural areas by allowing offenders to pay a fixed amount to settle the offence (compounding of offences), provided that the retail outlet is located more than 200 metres from a highway. The amount payable varies according to the statutory fine applicable to the offence.
