These Regulations, implementing the Explosives Use Act, provides for use of explosives in holes and boreholes. The Regulations concern: issuance of permits; detonation of explosives; prohibition while using and blasting explosives; duties of permit holder, including: ensuring that the apparatus used during explosion of explosives is regularly inspected and kept in good operating condition; specific requirements for loading a borehole with explosives; inspection after the explosion; precautions to be taken to prevent injury to the people or damage to the structures.
