This Annual Development Plan is a roadmap that will be pursued by the county government to offer quality services towards implementation of the County Integrated Development Plan and towards transforming Nairobi to a globally competitive city. The mission of the Plan is to provide people-centric, responsive services through inclusivity and collaboration, in a sustainable, secure and development oriented environment. The Plan aims at achieving the following strategic goals: developing and maintaining roads and storm water drainage to standards; developing and maintaining street and security lighting infrastructure; developing and maintaining institutional facilities, bridges and transport infrastructure; facilitating private developments through approval and inspection of submitted designs that satisfies the technical, design, planning and other requirements; providing quality healthcare services accessible, equitable and sustainable to the population of Nairobi City County; promoting early childhood development and education; strengthening youth affairs and sport services; increasing social services; management of solid waste; preventing and controlling environmental pollution; promoting climate change interventions; improving access to water and sanitation services; promoting food and nutritional security for all; providing reliable, accessible and quality and affordable one-health; strengthening tree coverage in the city, oil and water conservation for a sustainable environment, and sustainable urban food system; promoting innovation and digital economy, inclusivity, public participation and customer services; strengthening fire fighting and disaster risk reduction.
