Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2026/1432 on measures to prevent the establishment and the spread within the Union territory of Meloidogyne graminicolaGolden & Birchfield and for the eradication and containment of that pest within certain demarcated areas and repealing Implementing Regulation (EU) 2022/1372.

This Regulation establishes measures to prevent the introduction and spread of Meloidogyne graminicola within the Union, and provides for its eradication where detected or, where eradication is no longer feasible, its containment. Member States are required to conduct annual risk-based surveys in areas where the pest is not known to occur but may become established, with priority given to host plants. Upon official confirmation of the pest’s presence, the affected Member State must establish a demarcated area based on a delimiting survey and implement eradication measures, unless the area is listed for containment under Annex II, in which case containment measures apply. Member States must also submit the results of the previous year’s surveys to the Commission and the other Member States by 30 April each year.
