Decree No. 11.366 establishing the basic organisational structure of the Acre State Institute for Consumer Protection and Defence (PROCON/AC).

This Decree establishes the basic organisational structure of the Institute for Consumer Protection and Defence of the State of Acre (PROCON/AC) and revokes the previous organisational framework established in 2021. Its principal objective is to define the institutional organisation, governance arrangements and administrative responsibilities of PROCON/AC, thereby strengthening the State's consumer protection system. The Decree establishes the Institute’s key organisational units, including the Presidency, Internal Control, Ombudsman, Legal Advisory Office, Communications Office, Administrative and Financial Directorate, Technical Directorate for Consumer Assistance and Guidance, and the State Consumer Protection Council (CONDECON). It aims to provide the institutional framework necessary for the development, coordination and implementation of consumer protection policies and services in Acre. The Decree further seeks to improve the effectiveness of consumer protection through clear allocation of responsibilities for consumer assistance, education, inspection, complaint handling, administrative proceedings and public information. It empowers PROCON/AC to oversee compliance with consumer protection legislation, promote consumer awareness, investigate complaints, coordinate enforcement activities and support the resolution of disputes arising from consumer relations.
