This Prakas issued by Cambodia’s Ministry of Environment establishes technical guidelines for monitoring and controlling air-blast overpressure and ground vibration generated by blasting activities. It aims to prevent and minimize adverse impacts on the environment, public health, surrounding communities and property. The Prakas adopts technical guidelines specifying permissible limits for air-blast overpressure, measured in decibels (dB), and ground vibration, measured as peak particle velocity (mm/s). The guidelines establish measurement procedures, monitoring requirements and technical parameters for assessing blasting impacts, including provisions concerning noise-sensitive locations and the use of monitoring equipment.
