The Regulation prescribes the implementation of the Programme of support for producer groups for the development or amendment of specifications for protected designations of origin, protected geographical indications and traditional specialities guaranteed for agricultural and food products in 2026. Eligible applicants are groups of producers, regardless of their legal status, that: a) are registered within the territory of the Republic of Croatia; b) include, among their members, at least 50% who produce and place on the market the product covered by the Product Specification—or who carry out at least one stage of the production of the agricultural or food product covered by the Product Specification—and who are entered in the relevant registers of food business operators and establishments, or other appropriate registers maintained by the competent authorities; and c) possess a decision from the group’s competent body to initiate the procedure for protecting a product name as a Designation of Origin, a Geographical Indication, or a Traditional Speciality Guaranteed, or to initiate a procedure to amend the Product Specification for product names that are already registered.
