Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 828/2014 on the requirements for the provision of information to consumers on the absence or reduced presence of gluten in food.

This Regulation establishes the conditions for communicating the absence or reduced presence of gluten in food. Relevant claims must comply with the statements and conditions prescribed in the Annex. Where a food has been specially produced, prepared or processed to reduce gluten content or replace gluten-containing ingredients with naturally gluten-free alternatives, it may also be described as specifically formulated for people intolerant to gluten or specifically formulated for coeliacs. These provisions do not permit gluten-related information on infant formulae or follow-on formulae within the meaning of Directive 2006/141/EC.
