The State Lands (Fees) Rules 2015 of Singapore establish the fees payable for specified administrative services and transactions concerning State land under the State Lands Act. The Rules came into operation on 1 June 2015 and prescribe charges for services such as obtaining certified copies of land instruments and quit-rent information, processing applications for the alienation of State land, varying restrictive conditions in State titles, upgrading land tenure, investigating titles, endorsing plans, granting permissions relating to mortgages, assignments and subletting, and processing applications for State-land tenancies and temporary occupation licences. They also empower the Collector of Land Revenue to remit or refund, wholly or partly, certain fees prescribed under the Rules. The Rules additionally prescribe fees for tender and auction documentation, site plans, electronic searches for encroachment boundary plans, and the removal of natural materials from State land, including sand, clay, granite, laterite, red earth, iron stone, gravel, coral, shells and turf. They regulate charges for temporary occupation of State land for purposes including construction worksites, storage areas, outdoor refreshment areas, events and other temporary activities.
