This Act establishes the general principles of forest policy and management in the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The 54 Articles of the Act are divided into 9 Chapters: General Provisions (I); State Administration of Forests and Forest Plantation Land (II); Forest protection (III); Development of Forest Land and Utilisiation of Forest Plantation Land (IV); Rights and Obligations of Forest Users (V); International Relations and cooperation related to Protection and Development of Forests and to Utilisation of Forests and Forest Plantation Land (VI); The Forest Inspectorate (VII); Rewards and Punishments for Violations (VIII); Final Provisions (IX). The Council of Ministers shall give detailed instructions for the implementation of this Act and shall issue regulations regarding non-forest land.
