This Order prohibits 'Mesodesma mactroides' catching into certain areas of the State of Rio Grande do Sul. It consists of 3 articles establishing the protected zones in which the collection of this crustacean species is prohibited (between 'Barra do Rio Grande' and 'Arroio Chuí'). It also establishes sanctions to be paid by offenders in compliance with Decree-Law No. 221 of 28 February 1967 and in particular with Act No. 7.679 of 23 November 1988..
