This Order establishes minimum size for catching two lobster species. It consists of 11 articles prohibiting "Panulirus argus" and "P. laevicauda" fishing, transport, or every type of exploitation not exceeding the size of 13 cm. (P. argus) and 11 cm. (P. levicauda). It prohibits fishing activity into protected zones (including geographical coordinates of such prohibition) and establishes the requirements to be satisfied by fishing gear in order to be used (fishing methods, net mesh, net extension, etc.). It prescribes sanctions to be paid by offenders in compliance with Decree-Law No. 221 of 28 February 1967 and Act No. 7.679 of 23 November 1988. Confiscating procedure shall be regulated according to Order Ibama No. 44 of 12 April 1994.
