These Rules are formulated in order to protect clams and to ensure their rational exploitation. The protected area is defined in article 2; the fishery administration department of Changle County is entitled to the management of the protected area. Article 6 establishes prohibited fishing methods. The catching of sea clams is subject to fishing license. Further articles concern offences and penalties.
