The present Act regulates the fishing activities in the area of Greater Vienna. The Act regulates fishing in natural and artificial waters within Vienna. It defines responsibilities and rights related to fishing, including requirements for fishing methods, closed seasons, minimum sizes, and catch limits. The exercise of fishing is tied to a valid fishing license. For the protection of fish stocks, it contains specific regulations on catch statistics, closed seasons, minimum sizes, and catch restrictions to ensure sustainable management of fish stocks in Vienna.
