Legislative Decree No. 270 implementing Directive 2001/109/EC concerning the statistical surveys intended to determine the production potential of plantations of certain species of fruit trees.

Pursuant to Directive 2001/109/EC, statistical surveys relative to the plantations of the fruit tree species mentioned in article 1 (2) shall be carried out on a five-year basis in accordance with the characteristics specified in article 2. The outcome of the surveys shall be transmitted to the European Commission as per article 4. In addition, the Ministry of Agricultural and Forestry Policies shall present to the European Commission the annual information concerning plantations of tree fruit which is available within the National Statistical System.
