This Act provides for the establishment of the Maritime Safety Agency of Queensland (MSQ), it consists of 21 sections and is divided into 5 Parts. Part 2 establishes the MSQ and spells out its functions and powers. Part 3 establishes the Maritime Safety Queensland Fund. Part 4 contains miscellaneous provisions and Part 5 transitional provisions. The Act is completed by a schedule that contains a dictionary of terms relevant under the Act.
