The Parties have concluded this Agreement with a view to enhancing their cooperation in the field of nuclear safety. The areas covered are the following: (a) reactor safety research; (b) radiation protection; (c) nuclear waste management; (d) decommissioning, decontamination and dismantling of nuclear installations; (e) research and development on safeguards of nuclear material. Cooperation shall be implemented by means of exchange of information and personnel, balanced participation in joint studies and activities and exchange of samples and materials (art. 3).
