This Act concerns the exploration and search for minerals in Newfoundland and Labrador. It contains provision on the classification of lands, on licences and permits, on compensation, on mineral claims records, on mineral surveys and inspections. It also regulates mining leases and establishes the Mineral Rights Adjudication Board, setting its jurisdiction and providing for its functioning.
