The Regulations concern the control of open fires, releases of hazardous material or controlled chemical, i.e. a chemical listed in Schedule 3, into the air, the importation into Bermuda, or use in Bermuda, or export from Bermuda, of a controlled chemical, emission into the air of air contaminants with specified values, visibility impact control of air contaminants, fuel sulphur restrictions at controlled plants and reporting. "Hazardous material" means a material that is: (a) toxic, corrosive, ignitable or reactive; and (b) capable of harming any human being, animal, vegetation or material. Offences are prescribed.
