This Decree provides for the regulation of fish quarantine areas in order to prevent the infection of pests and diseases to spread to other areas. Areas that can be declared quarantine areas are rivers and their surrounding environment, lakes, dams or fish industry areas. The action of controlling and eliminating pests and diseases form quarantine areas shall be the responsibility of the director general of Cultured fish.
