Forest officer shall be official of the authorized state forest institution carrying out forest management in forestry that a structural unit of the regional forestry administration. Forest officer pertains to Federal Forest Service being at the same time the state forest inspector authorized to control the state, management, reproduction, conservation and protection of forests. Forest officer shall be issued countermark and bark mark for the purpose of control sanitary felling, allotment of standing timber, and also for the protection of forests against illegal logging. Forest officers shall be authorized to detain and convey the infringers of the forest legislation to the police station, confiscate hunting and logging gear, issue forest certificate for collection and harvesting of non-timber products, trade timber after sanitary felling and request information necessary for carrying out forest control functions.
