This Ministerial Decree regulates the use of public forest for scientific research. It shall be applicable to the whole of forest estate, including protected areas unless it contradicts the national legislation thereon. Scientific research shall include botanical, zoological, forestry, forest pathology, soil and other research for the purpose of development of new methods and technology for the protection and conservation of forest resources, and also experimental activity. The use of public forest for scientific research shall be carried out without damaging forest or components thereof.
