This Decree of the Ministry of Environment, which is composed of 29 articles and five Annexes, sets out rules concerning biotechnologies and the use of genetically modified organisms. In particular, it establishes the requirements to be met by equipment used in the field of biotechnologies; conditions for the assessment of of environmental risks; rules governing the assessment of effects on the environment; provisions on keeping of documentation related to the use of genetically modified organisms.
