This Ministerial Decree validates compensation rates for the following environmental offences: (a) illegal logging and destruction of trees and shrubbery; (b) other damages to forestry by natural and legal persons; and (c) illegal collection, harvesting, procurement or destruction of protected plant species. It also validates the modalities of compensation for the aforesaid offences. The amount of compensation shall be established by the Government; the sum shall be calculated by the territorial branch of the authorized state forest management institution and shall be paid to the state budget in the place where damage was inflicted.
