This Act declares the Mimbilisan watershed to be a protected area and provides for the preservation of its biological diversity and for the sustainable use of its resources. The Act provides for the establishment of the Protected Area Management Board, which shall be responsible for the management of the Mimbilisan Protected Landscape, defines its internal composition and its powers and functions. The Act further provides for: the establishment of the Mimbilisan Protected Landscape Superintendent Office; restrictions on the use of non-renewable resources within the protected area; prohibited acts and penalties; establishment of the Mimbilisan Protected Area Fund; etc.
