These Byelaws concern the supervision and use of public standpipes within designated areas of the Kweneng District, i.e. settlements or villages within the area of the Council allocated to persons for occupation. The Bye-laws place restriction on use of public standpipe water and prohibit: the use of water other than by residents; the damaging of public standpipes; and the misuse and pollution of water.
