This Act: makes provision for the registration of cooperative societies, regulates various matters in relation with registered societies, defines rights and liabilities of registered societies, provides for resolution of disputes by the Registrar and grants powers to the Governor in Council to make all such rules as may be necessary for the purpose of carrying out or giving effect to the principles and provisions of this Act. The Act also provides for disposal of produce of agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, etc. of members to or through a registered society.
