Voluntary Partnership Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Congo on forest law enforcement, governance and trade in timber and derived products to the European Union (FLEGT).

This Agreement provides a legal framework aimed at ensuring that all timber and derived products (those specified in Annex I) that are imported into the European Union from Congo have been legally produced, in accordance with the principles of sustainable management of all types of forests. The European Union accepts only shipments from Congo covered by the Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade licensing scheme.
