Legislative Decree No. 18 implementing Directive 2009/17/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council amending Directive 2002/59/EC establishing a Community vessel traffic monitoring and information system.

These provisions amend Legislative Decree No. 196 of 2005, which establishes a vessel traffic monitoring and information system. New rules are inserted as regards the use of automatic identification systems by fishing vessels and the use of systems for the long-range identification and tracking of ships.
