This Law provides complete measures and standards for sustainable nature protection, and for biological, geological and geographical diversity, as part of the environment. This Law aims at: a) protecting, preserving and improving biological (genetic, species and ecosystems), geological and geographical diversity; b) setting mankind activities; and preparing economic and social development plans, programmes, bases and projects for the sustainable use of renewable and non-renewable natural resources and for the long-term preservation of natural ecosystems; c) managing or using in a sustainable way natural resources and goods; d) stopping any mankind activities that can harm the ecosystem balance and diversity; e) monitoring; f) improving problematic areas. This Law lays down provisions regarding the protection and authorization for international trade of specimens, parts and derivatives of wild species under the scope of CITES.
