This Law provides for: rules and measures for general animal welfare and protection; rights, duties and responsibilities of private and legal subjects; animal welfare during the process of growth; general life conditions and slaughtering; trading and transportation; tests and scientific experiments; other relevant and significant facts and security measures; and offences and penalties. This Law applies to: animals used during production process; animals used for science research, biomedical and education causes; animals used for public activities, competitions, parades and shows; animals used at work; house pets; abandoned and lost animals; and wild animals kept in captivity.
