This Ministerial Decree establishes minimum safety requirements for milk and dairy products and it shall be applicable either to raw milk or to finished dairy products of national and foreign origin traded on the national territory. It shall be applicable to all natural and legal persons engaged in procurement (collection), processing, storage and trade of milk and dairy products. It shall not be applicable to dietary and infant food. The basic conditions for trade of milk and dairy products shall be: (a) availability of accompanying documentation; (b) availability of information on milk and dairy products; and (c) availability of food safety certificates for milk and dairy products. Deadline for trade of milk and dairy products shall be set by the producers prior compliance with storage conditions. Milk and dairy products shall be traded in consumer packaging. Raw milk shall be filtered and cooled to the temperature of +4+2°C no later than two hours after milking. Safety of milk and dairy products shall be ensured through veterinary, sanitary and epidemiological control during processing and trade of milk and dairy products.
