Petroleum (Submerged Lands) Act 1982.

This Act provides for the exploration and exploitation of petroleum resources in submerged lands adjacent to the coasts of Western Australia. The Act provides for the administration of the offshore area and regulates mining for petroleum including exploration permits, retention leases, petroleum production licences, infrastructure licences, pipeline licences, and for fees and royalties. The Act also provides for the registration of instruments, for inspections and powers of inspectors, etc.
