This Act, consisting of 28 sections divided into five Parts, provides for the protection of whales and sets out restrictions on the taking or buying and selling whale products unless in possession of a permit granted by the Secretary. Application procedures and licence conditions are provided for in the Act. The Act further provides for functions and powers of authorized officers.
