This Regional Law regulates relations in the sphere of veterinary with a view of preventing outbreak of infectious and mass non-infectious animal diseases, mitigation of the consequences thereof, ensuring safety of animal products and byproducts, and protection of the population against diseases common to animals and human beings. Competence of state regional veterinary service shall include: (a) supervision over activity of veterinary institutions; (b) assessment of epizootic situation; (c) veterinary and sanitary inspection of animal and plant production at markets; (c) disinfection and disinfestations; and (d) laboratory and clinical testing.
