This Law creates the State Programme for the Treatment and Recycling of Oil and Fats of plant and animal origin, including those caused by domestic use, through the adoption of protecting measures prohibiting waste disposal in rivers and soil. This Programme aims in particular at: avoiding mangrove and soil pollution; informing the population about the environmental risks causad by oils and fats disposal into the sewer system and about the advantages of recycling process; promoting the recycling for domestic, commercial or industrial waste, through technical support, incentives and other financial concession for small companies operating in collection and recycling sectors; and promoting the economic exploitation of recycled oil and fats, including transport and re-selling, up to industrial processes of transformation.
